3 great food retail displays

November 8, 2013 By Hubert Company 1 Comment

Proper food merchandising strategies help drive profit. While product placement is essential, so is investing in quality food display cases. Attractive vessels draw attention and highlight the items within. When considering a new display fixture, you’ll want to look for aesthetics, accessibility, size and mobility.

Balance the factors
Try to keep the bulkier items lower and the smaller ones on top. The larger products will draw eyes and a steady descension in the size of goods will lead consumers to look at everything. Be sure to incorporate a range of colors when doing this. Experiment with placement and see which setup best seizes and holds attention.

You should also know what products to push. This is easy if your store offers its own brand. For stores that don’t, look into the average cost of whatever goods you’re merchandising and set an amount a little bit higher, but not on the expensive end. Give these products the best exposure by placing them at eye level.

Remember that consumers are drawn to products that are plentiful in quantity. Make sure that your items are always well-stocked. For ones that are lacking in number, consider adjusting the display so that the numbers seem larger than they are. Stuff vessels discreetly with paper or pull boxes forward and line them up with the front of the shelf.

Other factors to keep in mind are signage and accessibility. Signage is essential to inform customers of what the product is and why they should purchase it. Also, don’t get caught up in the visuals of the display. Make sure the items are easily accessible to consumers.

1. The Economy Tilt Top
The Expressly HUBERT® Economy Tilt Top Table is a large fixture that’s sure to get everyone’s attention. With it, you can highlight a great number of items. The additional tilt top feature makes viewing, placing and shopping easier.

2. The Wood Framed Bakery Cases
Expressly HUBERT® Wood Framed Bakery Cases are not only attractive, but they’re easy for customers to use and can highlight store-baked goods. It comes in a variety of sizes that can be used to feature a range of items.

3. The Peddler’s Cart
The Pine Peddler’s Cart is a fun fixture, but it also offers great accessibility, mobility and easy-to-use signage. This is a great display that can be used to feature items from different departments. Keep your store’s look fresh and consider having an item of the week.

Investing in quality products and merchandising properly can help you drive profit and draw attention. Remember to have fun and try out different strategies that keep the store interesting for staff and shoppers.
