HARRISON, OH. – On Thursday, March 7 the Hubert Company received a Green Business Award from the Business Courier. The Honorable Mention award was due in large part to Hubert’s solar roof installation, the 7th largest in the state of Ohio.
President and CEO Bart Kohler attended the ceremony and accepted the award.
The solar installation generates more than 1 million kilowatt hours per year and has been featured in The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Harrison Press, Green Energy Ohio, the Business Courier and on Channel 12 WKRC.
Hubert maintains a comprehensive sustainability program including the use of fluorescent lighting throughout it’s half-million square foot warehouse, recycling more than 140 tons of corrugated cardboard and 22 tons of shrink film per year and uses only 100 percent recyclable shipping cartons.
